Mining and reserves
The Mining Lease Application area (MLA 100) covers 3,985 hectares and contains approximately 450 million tonnes of coal recoverable by open cut mining.
If developed, the Mount Pleasant mine would operate two open cut pits. The North pit would mine five coal seams and South pit would mine eight coal seams. Mount Pleasant has a potential life of more than 25 years.
