Taking the journey together
Development projects will need to reflect the unique character of each individual site and the community's expectations for the area. We recognise the values held by the people who live and work in the Lower Hunter must be represented in future development.
We are undertaking a consultation program which promotes regional and local stakeholder involvement. Through this process regional and local design concepts are being developed. This has captured the cultural, heritage and environmental issues that are important to the local community.
The consultation strategies includes:
- Community briefings and workshops
- Stakeholder meetings
- Regional design workshops (charettes)
- Access to information
