Carrington West Extension

Coal & Allied is investigating options for a possible extension of mining at Hunter Valley Operations, north of the Hunter River. The proposal is to mine an additional 142 hectares of Coal & Allied land. By extending open cut mining in the Carrington West pit to the south west, it could achieve up to five years of additional mining of approximately 17 million tonnes of in-situ coal.
