Community contributions

Who is eligible?

As a guide, eligible applicants are seen as those who:

  • Can demonstrate the capacity to make effective use of the funds for regional benefit
  • Are willing and able to subject the project to performance measures that focus on outcomes
  • Can work in partnership with the Coal & Allied Community Trust and with Coal & Allied

Support from the Community Trust may be the sole source of funding, however applicants are encouraged to seek funds from a number of sources, such as joint government of private funding bodies.

It is seen as inappropriate for Community Trust funds to be allocated to private companies seeking finance for individual business activities, projects focused on capital works, individuals wanting to finance endeavours solely for personal gain, and projects that are traditionally funded by government.

Trust guidelines

The Board of Trustees meets several times a year to review and consider funding applications. If you would like to apply for funding, please review the Trust's guidelines carefully and contact the Executive Officer of the Trust via the email address below, before submitting a proposal.
