Partnerships

Working in partnership with local groups is essential to building relationships with our local communities. We work with a range of organisations to help implement initiatives that provide sustainable outcomes for the local communities impacted by our operations.

Our approach

Currently Coal & Allied participates in a range of partnerships which help address the social, environmental and economic challenges facing the communities in which we operate. They include:

  • Coal & Allied Community Trust ($3 million over three years)
  • Coal & Allied Aboriginal Development Consultative Committee ($500,000 per year for twenty years)
  • Donations and sponsorships at each operation supporting local community initiatives and projects.
  • Corporate donations and sponsorship programmes supporting a range of organisations including the Newcastle Knights, Westpac Rescue Helicopter service and the Hunter Valley Research Foundation.
