Community Alliance

The Community Alliance sustainability poster competition was a huge success with hundreds of entries being received from school students from Lake Macquarie right through to the Upper Hunter.

In conjunction with Together Today and Coal & Allied, the winner chosen was nine year old (pictured below receiving her prize from Coal & Allied General Manager - External Relatons Fiona Nicholls), whose outstanding artwork demonstrated changing a traditional light globe to an energy efficient type. Celine also won the judges over with the catchy slogan - 'If you want to be green, just change your routine!

Celine was presented with a new Nintendo DS at the Knights game against the Eels in June and also won for her school (Eleebana Public) a $1000 environmental kit. 50 runners up also received a family pass to a Knights home game.

Congratulations to Celine and all of the winners, some of whose posters are shown below. Thank you to all students who participated in the Community Alliance sustainability poster competition.
