Corporate governance

Corporate governance is an integral part of managing a successful business. The directors and management of Coal & Allied are committed to high standards of corporate governance and they support the initiative of the Australian Stock Exchange on disclosure of corporate governance practices.

The board is responsible for ensuring that Coal & Allied meets the objectives of its shareholders, while managing the interests of employees and external stakeholders. The directors approve strategy and business plans, and monitor the performance of the company against those plans.

The directors also monitor compliance with policies prescribed by the board in areas such as health and safety, environment, business ethics, internal control and risk management. These policies are designed to ensure that Coal & Allied meets or exceeds the regulatory requirements governing its operations.
