Who we are

With an 150 year history in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales Coal & Allied is one of the region's major coal producers, employing more than 2000 people across our three operations - Mount Thorley Warkworth, Hunter Valley Operations and Bengalla. Our current projects include the Mount Pleasant and Lower Hunter Lands projects, Bengalla Modifications and Carrington West Wing Extension.

We strive to achieve our vision of being a safe and highly successful business, valued by our customers, employees, shareholders and the community. Successful development, change and business improvements have been key themes of recent years.

Coal & Allied is owned by the Rio Tinto Group and Mitsubishi Development. Its operations are managed by Rio Tinto Coal Australia.
